Mountain Music Museum

The Mountain Music Museum features exhibits honoring the roots of country, bluegrass, old time and Celtic music and it's origins in the southern Appalachian region. Displays include artifacts and/or photos from the Carter Family, the Stonemans, Jimmie Rodgers, Flatt & Scruggs, Mac Wiseman, the Stanley Brothers, Tennessee Ernie Ford,Mel Street and many others. The museum is operated by the non-profit ACMA and features live music every Thursday night as well on the Pickin Porch at the same location starting at 7:00 pm.The museum was established in 1998.
