A Day’s Outing makes it easy to choose just the types of outings you are interested in. With a quick tap, the screen flips over and you can change your personal preferences for your search -- finding only the outings that are right for you.
A Day’s Outing offers 11 different groups of outings for you to consider. You can view all the categories together or select a category's icon to view just the results in that single category.
All the information about an individual outing is in the palm of your hand. You stay within the App to read a description of the outing, receive turn-by-turn directions to the outing from your current location and view important information for the outing, such as address, phone number and website.
Shake your iPhone! A Day’s Outing has a fun feature on our iPhone apps. It is like a Magic 8 Ball for things-to-do. You simply shake your phone and we find 20 random outings for you to consider.
We use the iPhone's accelerometer to pick up the "shake" and then we select 20 outings at random. The outings could be close to you or they could be a road trip away. You never know what we might suggest.
If you didn’t give A Day’s Outing permission to turn on the Shake function with the initial pop-up window, no worries. Simply go to the Settings app on your iPhone and switch the setting for A Day’s Outing to “yes”. That’s it. Now you can shake your phone and find fun things-to-do.
